Congrats to North Korea

Seems North Korea claims it launched a long range missile today. The pictures were very cute, reminded me of the Apollo missions in the 1960s.

Congrats to North Korea for having 1960s technology.

To be fair, many of so-called developed countries had no such a technology even now. Also even the USA have lost the Apollo techs long time ago (when it's creator Wernher Von Braun has died). When exactly the US astronaut has been sent to the orbit by the US-made rocket and got back alive?

So? What's wrong with the lunar module? Dude, it has nothing to do with SpaceX rockets or any others. Go back to school and learn physics already. There is no atmosphere on the Moon, so the lunar module don't need to have a streamlined body, it won't be affected by a windage, it doesn't need to be pressurized and so on. Also the Moon gravitation is only 16% of the Earth's one, so an average human can easily do 6 meter high jumps there.

everyone understands that this is not the same. lunar module not SpaceX rockets.
everyone understands that the parameters are different from the earth and the moon.
but the development of such a module for another planet with unknown parameters(atmosphere, gravitation etc...) on the distance which 384 400 km - is much more difficult than in the calculation of which is being developed here on earth.
for earth the task much easier, if you have these settlements. and they must to be if you really be fly to the moon.

Jeez. Moon is not a planet. The Moon manures are very easy (a Newtonian physics was taught to every Soviet 7th grader) and they are not even comparable with the Earth ones. I've made my first scientific lunar landing simulator when I was 12 year old. In fact, it was pretty simple suing standard formulas.

No, that was done by German Nazis, bot by you. The USA were involved as founders and cannon fodder (for example, the evil Soviets had used dogs for the similar purpose).

Man, that's not as simple as you think. Nobody can just read a book to repeat the German Moon program (actually I have a doubt that "book" does still exist). The technology was completely lost together with a death of its creator. That's why you have to buy Russian space engines for your super-puper high-tech rockets in 21th century. Why don't you use the Apollo tech? I'll tell it to you: it was completely lost.

planet-satellite, satellite - it Moon! all know this
in Soviet schools not taught to think - only to teach written postulates of the Communist leaders.

that's what those guys with a notebook wrote - that this delirium taught in Soviet schools.
your simulator - shit has no relation to reality.
I repeat once again for idiots - landing on the moon is much harder and more expensive.

There was no "German moon program". I know all about Von Braun's and what a handful of Germans did, but this was only a portion of the technology. I just finished reading "Apollo" by Bly Cox and Charles Murray, and also "Failure is not an option" by Gene Kranz - This was an American effort by thousands if not tens of thousands of American engineers...

I know you thin Russia is so great... For me... If Russia was to put boots on the moon tonight I was stay up all night watching it on TV because I would be so excited. I don't care who does it - The US, China Russia, - I just want mankind to move forward and I would be excited no matter who did it.

Space shuttles? The USA made 6 space shuttles. Two of them (1/3) have exploded and killed off all their crews. It doesn't sound good enough even for a 3rd-world technology, isn't it?

There was a German Moon program. Von Braun and his Nazi guys did it. Now he's dead and there is no Moon for the States anymore. Your modern super-puper rockets explode in 50% of cases. Admit it already.

A first creature in space was a dog. Not some American guy, and not a Russian one. It was a dog. Does it mean that dogs won the space race? The same can be applied to Americans. Von Braun and his Nazi crew just used Americans to see if they will survive on the Moon or not. It's just like Soviets were using dogs in their experiments. Dogs were always first and humans were second.

Doesn't matter how slow they are progressing, the fact is, they are progressing and it's just a matter of time before they do something really stupid.

Great for them, they now have one satellite alone in space! It won't be long for that this satellite to 'accidentally' stop functioning.
