Even though one of the people that commented on it points out the fact she is putting tables inside tables. I still think its pretty cool. Also this must be getting her a shitload of page views. Who cares about character encoding on a coming soon page that gets no traffic? I put this page up as a temp page as I'm 1,800 hours into a massive project. I'm not going to bother with all the trimmings like alt text on each image. The vast majority of hits from the W3C validator are just from the Flash elements...

I also needed to use data- properties (which I use for some JS)...

Whoopdie-fuckin-do ... Still doesn't change the fact that tables are not good for layout...

My site looks and functions fine in IE8, IE9, FF, Chrome, and Opera on Windows and Safari, FF, and Chrome on OS X... that's good enough for me (for a temp page) ;)

Plus you forgot to add formatting for the various IE bugs in your CSS example
Also keep in mind if if you used a seperate .css thats loading 2 files instead of 1

Wrong. Because as soon as you add in any other elements or styling to this layout. The table one exponentially gets more and more bloated.

Also, there is no various IE bugs in my CSS example. That code would work all the way back to IE4 and probably further. You obviously don't know what you're talking about.

Anyway, here is my point as to once you start adding more to the layout, tables become more bloated. In the example, I will add just one single block to each column.
