ZZ, I have accounts setup with your ref id and galleries are added to my comus tgp database. I'm setting up my traffic trade script (awgtrade) and would like you to explain the % part in trades. For example, what does "skim lower than 60%" mean. I know what skimming is but confused about the part. My icq is 219843016 so contact me if i don't sound clear. I look forward to making some sales and getting you your % =)

What I meant was percent going to gallery. When I say 60 that means 60% will go to gallery. You could trade with whatever skim you want. But I was just recommending that you should trade with people who let their surfers see galleries so traffic quality is ok.

hi,

@ZZ

good tutorial!

another question

what happens after I build and set up my TGP/MGP?
I think the most important thing is to get stabil traffic to this site,
and thatīs reason why so many TGP/MGP fail

Do you think itīs enough to buy sometimes traffic and post
reguarly Gallerys with my backlink to other big TGP/MGP? And the
rest will be done by the trading script?

You only need to buy traffic once to get yourself started. After that its all about adding/removing trades and manipulating the trade script and your site to get the most efficiency.

This thread has become a GFY classic and I have been following it for a bit. I run both paysites and thumb tgp's and I could make a few comments on this.

Firstly, unless you are making a living as an affiliate don't expect having a TGP to make things any better. As much as it is about traffic it is even more about selling the right thing. A TGP loaded up with 2000 hosted galleries is probably loaded full of crap. I use my TGP's to sell my own sites, and I fill it out with some of the better hosted galleries. Sales to my own sites galleries are waaaay higher than the shaved up hosted galleries.

Secondly the productivity you will see from purchased traffic is very low, often less than 20%. That means for every 100k uniques purchased only 20k will actually click on something. Take that into consideration in your calculations.

The last issue is actually managing traffic. It is very difficult to find anyone of consequence who will trade with you. In my case I get a lot of guys adding trades, but most of them can't even send a 100 hit minimum in 24 hours and the trade script just drops them off. The guys who have real traffic will have to be schmoozed for a trade.

Anyhow if you can send more than 500 a day I have a 50k PR4 site accepting new trades right now, let's see if I get any.

A newbie question, I hope this is an appropriate thread to post it in.

I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a less expensive host with a lot of space. Currently I do a little celebrity niche site and I want to expand into a more traditional hardcore TGP. Right now I'm just about at my limit in space and I'm sure my bandwidth wouldn't survive if I really dug my heels into this. So I think I should make a host switch. Right now I'm paying $20 month for 80MB and 1GB bandwidth. I know there are better deals out there, but it's hard to find a better deal that also allows hardcore content.

Any suggestions? Thanks much.

(edit: I haven't read every post in this thread, maybe this was answered earlier, my apologies if it has)

You might wanna try Reality Check Network.

for $10 you can get 20GB and 100MB storage.

Great thread! I am really just a newbie starting out, so I stumped on the very basic step. I installed the Comus and signed up with sponsors, but now how can I import the 1000+ galleries. Do I do it manually?

I tried bulk import, but it requires a link to every single picture in a gallery and I am looking for a way to spider the gallery automatically.

Also what am I supposed to do with the hundreds of thumbs pre-installed in Comus with the comus author's refid?

Could somebody guide me through this process? This would be really, really appreciated!

Stick "only" the urls separated by lines into the bulk importer. Afterwards go to Gallery Review Control. Hit autothumb all and it will take care of everything in your database.

Now for some trading tips:

Most people that fail at growing a Thumb TGP usually fail at three key areas.

1. Productivity
2. Trading
3. Marketing

I've already covered productivity all through this thread. I'll do trading this time.

Trade Script - Imagine that your trade script is like a minion. You give it impossible tasks and it won't do them. It'll end up hurting you more if it tries to do them and fails repeatedly.

What hurts you with the trade script?

- Setting high forces. If you set high forces and don't leave enough for the trade script then it can't manage your traffic properly.

- High Ratios: Everybody wants to send 200% traffic back but unfortunately unless you have a very high productivity level you can't. Telling the script to send back a huge amount that you don't have will cause your site to implode.

Try sending 130% back as a maximum and 100% or a little higher as the fixed ratio.

companies. They charge more but you won't get fucked over.

http://www.Directnic.com (Recommended)

2. Get yourself a Server
- (Do not try to do the stuff in this tutorial with a virtual account hosting account)

What you have to remember is you're not running a game server... So don't go with the extremely fast servers. But if you can afford it by all means.

- Do not get a (Windows Server). Make sure you get a Unix based O/S.

Places to get a server:
http://www.servermatrix.com
http://www.webair.com
http://www.realitychecknetwork.com
http://www.jupiterhosting.com
http://www.candidhosting.com
http://www.isprime.com

(B. Getting Your Tools)

Thumbnail Manager:
1. You're going to need a thumbnail/gallery manager to do all the grunt work.

http://www.comusthumbs.com

This is the ultimate tool for managing thumbs and increasing productivity. Make sure you either purchase this or get the 2% Skim version. This is a must have tool.

I'll give you tips on setting up your layout later on.

Trade Script:
2. You're going to need a Trade Script to manage trading with other sites. Make sure you get one that is suitable for a high traffic site. Make sure they're coded in C.

Premium Scripts:
TM3 - http://www.tgpsoftware.com
Arrow Trader Extreme - http://www.arrowscripts.com/
UCJ - http://www.ucj.com/

Free Script(they take some of your traffic)
Arrow Trader - http://www.arrowscripts.com
AWG Trade - http://www.awgtrade.com/ (Zero Traffic Taken)

(C. Building Your Page)

You should now have all of the necessary tools and hardware to build your TGP. But your still missing your main page.

- Build one Yourself
Customize your page:
- brand it
-make yourself your own mascott
-make it unique and clean

- Have one built for you or buy a Template

http://www.dynamixxx.com (They'll build you a custom TGP page for $55)
http://www.sexzity.com/templates.html (Sexzity has premade templates starting at $15)
http://www.galleryguy.com/

(D. Comus Thumbs Template)
To get the full Productivity template grab it on the Comus Thumbs Forum

This is similar to what I personally use:

First Table(Skim 65):
1st Row: 8 Thumbs(Query Best with No Clicks Option)
(Why the no clicks option? You want your thumbs to rotate and don't want the top thumbs to dominate just because of placing.)
2nd Row: 8 Thumbs(Query Best with No Clicks Option)
3rd Row: 8 Thumbs(Query Best with Clicks Option On)
4th Row: Thumb 1 Query New) Thumbs 2-8 Query Stage 1 (What does this do? It injects a thumb every time your page is rebuilt. Set your rebuild to 5 minutes ~12 Thumbs per

hour)

Now make two or three more tables all using (Query Best).
Remember for each table that you make lower the percentage that go to galleries upto 50%

1st Table 65%

2nd Table 60%

3rd Table 55%

(E. Populating your Page with Content)

Things you should have ready:
- Main Page Design(Filled with Macros)
- Trade Script
- Comus Thumbs

1. Filling it with galleries.

Your page will be rebuilt every 5 minutes using 12 Thumbs per hour, Using 288 Thumbs per day.
You're going to need a bunch of sponsors with alot of galleries to fill this quota:

A. Signup with These Sponsors
Recommended Sponsors:
Brain Cash (1000+ Hosted Galleries)
Medium Pimpin (1000+ Hosted Galleries)
Nasty Dollars (1000+ Hosted Galleries)
NS Cash (1000+ Hosted Galleries)
Extreme Paychecks (1000+ Hosted Galleries)

If you signed up to all of these sponsors you should have 8000+ Galleries to place in your database.

In Comus Thumbs
- Make sure you enable hotlinking and 302 redirects
- Bulk Import all of the galleries from these Sponsors into your Comus database. (Avoid Movie Galleries: They'll leave you with a cutoff watermark)
- Auto Thumb Every Single on of them with the Auto Thumber with the skin setting turned on
- Now before transfering all of them into your main category: Examine them in blocks of 200 for quality.

Congrats the Easy Part is over

Part II.

So now you have a kickass site with kickass software thats fully setup but your not making any money cause you got no visitors...

A. Buy Traffic

Buy 100-200 K of traffic to build up fast.

Places to buy cheap productive traffic from honest people:
FPC Traffic(Buy Exit Traffic 100K or 250K for 1.75K)
Sexzity(Buy Unfiltered 50K or 100K)

B. Using the Traffic

- Divide the amount of traffic that you bought by 5. This will give time just in case something isn't setup right or for unforseen complications.
- Signup to Trade with Other Thumb TGP Sites:
http://www.findtrades.com

- Force 30-50 Per hour depending on the size of the trade for 24 hours to your trades(set value for each trade).
After 24 hours turn the force off and let your script handle it.

- Keep the trades that are productive dump the ones that aren't.

- Keep adding trades.

- Make sure you pick niches that correspond to your site.

- Do not trade with sites that have a skim lower than 60% (trading with sites that jerk around their surfers give you lower prod % traffic and will hurt you in the long run)

- You might want add more adds to your site but other than that...

You're finished.

Got questions I'll answer them for you in this thread

is the Comus 2% shave trial a time limited trial (30days?)?

And after the trial period, does it change to 20% shave?

I think the 2% shave stays forever til you buy the full version which shaves 0%. I know people that have been running the 2% for a few months I don't think it ever expires.

Great thread, thanks so much for posting this and thanks for the help on ICQ!

I've set up www.nudeteenphoto.com/main.html using comus with AWGtrade and this thread has been very informative.

I'm just using my 404 traffic to feed the site for now, I want to get a feel for the trade script & make sure everything's working correctly before I start paying $ for traffic.

That being said, I have been running into quite a few unexpected difficulties getting this going; most were simple enough to fix, but I haven't been able to figure out the most recent one yet.

I'm using your suggested method of query best no clicks for the top two rows; query best for the third; query new for one thumb, stage1 for the next 7, then query best for everything else on the page.

All was working fine until the latest refresh when for some reason the thumbs stopped being sorted by rank; I haven't changed anything in the script but now it's displaying them at random. What could cause this? Obviously this would impede productivity; I thought maybe it would sort itself out after a few rebuilds, but it's been about 12 hours and it's still displaying randomly.

It needs to be built 16 times before everything sorts out properly. You can either hit build 16 times or let it build and it should fix itself.

It refreshed about 12 hours ago, and is set to rebuild every 15 minutes. That means it should have already rebuilt about 48 times by now; I'm tempted to just start clicking on the build link now but I'll wait if you have other advice/comments.

I decided just to hit build 16 times; this did not help. It's still displaying the thumbs at random, and keep in mind the site has been rebuilt every 15 minutes for the last 12 hours or so plus 16 more times; I don't think it's going to sort itself out at this point.

What could be causing this?

is there any money to be made from TGPs? seems like there are 1,000s of 'em after doing a bit of searching.

zzgundamnzz, how many hours do you put into zzgalleries.com daily?

thanks a lot!
Ok, its 13 posts up. But I'll just cut & paste here.

Try sending 130% back as a maximum and 100% or a little higher as the fixed ratio.

zzgundamnzz, how many hours do you put into zzgalleries.com daily?
Yes theres plenty of money to be made from TGPs. More and more people access the internet everyday. There are thousands - with that you can take advantage of. You can make your site grow because you won't run out of people to trade with.

I put about an hour or two a day on zzgalleries.com and an occassional 12 hour day when I need to do something really major to it.

Domain does matter. Its one of the main parts in branding a website.

If you're not too concerned about branding you don't have to worry about it too much. Just don't put cutesexygirls and have gay content. Or milf and then the site has teen content...

Just match your domain with the content.

Can I ask where you buy your traffic from? I set up a text tgp and bought 20K feeder traffic to it from FPC (pop-under traffic, so it's not like it was high quality clicked traffic) and my productivity was holding strong at 80%. If you're only seeing 20% productivity, you need to seriously consider a) where you're buying traffic, b) your design and c) your thumbnails (assuming you're running a thumb preview tgp)

Nice tread. Lots of hopeful people out there now I guess. Lets just hope they will come back here and let us know if they fail or succed or whatever they do.

One thing I've never understand, is why people are calling their site something with tgp? ex: www.myporntgp.com..
Does a surfer know what a tgp is? I didnt know when I used to surf...

Wanted to let everybody know that Comus will no longer have the 2% skim version.

The price is also going up to $395. So buy your copy before November 1st.

first of all, thanx for replying to the thread without even addressing my question which was the post right before yours. and also, it will have the 2% skim version as long as you have it installed before november 1st...

Six

Current sites will remain unaffected, your 2% key will stay at 2%.

I just wont issue any more 2% keys, in fact, I should probably take care of that now.

Nope if you gotta site and are planning on using the 2% comus you should get the license asap before he gets around to changing his policies which are anytime now.

The paid version is the one that doesn't change til November 1st.

Well about your question... you should read some of my posts in this thread.

1. I am not obligated to help you.
2. I don't help whiners.

whassup man...i took your advice and bought some traffic from traffic-for-sale.com...just a lil to try them out...but this was yesterday morning and i still havent heard shit back from them. what is going on with them? does it always take this damn long? i wish i could find a traffic broker that started sending right after you order but i guess thats too much to ask for in this business...gotta sit around and wait til its convenient for them right? is there a better company?

man what the hell...it's been well over 24 hours now...i have received no traffic...no response to my emails...or my icq messages...what kind of business is this guy running? why does everything always have to be so frustrating cant things ever just run smoothly?

I would really appreciate it if people do come back here and let me know how it went...

The thing that I noticed is that people usually fail at trading and keeping there traffic constant.

About your question:

They probably don't know... but they'll keep seeing TGP til they find out what it is. When they do they'll think back to the first place they saw it. Its basically another type of branding.

Or maybe they couldn't get the root domain. Like myporntgp... myporn was probably already taken so its easy to just add tgp.

Aside from that it could be any number of things.

Great Thread.

sorry for asking a newbie question, but why not use AutoGallery SQL?

Is it not good?

It seems like Comus is the way to go. But they look awefully expensive. Considering the price and quality, which script do you recommend?

Comus is good, AGP is good too, but Comus has free version.. this is tutorial for newbies, so if you are newbie you usually have not so much money to spend on scripts and other services..
