When apple made computers in the us. The founders were still rich men. When taxes were 90 percent, fortunes were created, companies were founded, grew and thrived. Before a CEO made 40-50 times the avg worker now its 500x. The middle class is what made this country great and that's disappearing. For the first time children will not do better than their parents.
Just because some worked hard and dont rise up to CEO,doesnt make them any less. That's reality and most people. if everyone became a superstar then it would have very little value. Those worker bees are the foundation of many great companies.

when taxes where 90% no one paid it. when taxes were 90%, the poor also paid taxes.
if you got your wish, you, the poor would be paying significantly more.

oh right, you only want to raise taxes on your betters. I forgot for a second.

These people work harder then most others, but are heading in a direction where even they are on the verge of being poor, and have to live paycheck to paycheck. All because they are getting fucked by the bankers, corporations and politicians who constantly work on changing laws to benefit the rich, creating corporate tax loopholes, and work more on campaign funding then they do on what they are suppose to.
Tell me this... Should it be expected by everyone who wants to live a decent middle class life, to have to try to climb the latter and get to the top in order to live comfortably?
What is a teacher/cop/firefighter/nurse that gets laid of because of budget cuts suppose to do to get a new job? Calling these people lazy and shiftless is just insulting. Of course there are lazy shiftless unemployed people, but that's far from the majority.
you're clueless, son.
I can only imagine the horse shit you read in Norway that lets you believe you've got it all figured out.

Speculation makes everything more expensive and the profit goes to those who speculate and those are the ones who have the money to speculate.

For example farmers sell their cereals for $0.05 per pound but when you buy it in the shop (either as cereals or bread or pasta) you pay $2.00 per pound. This is due to speculation. Traders on Wallstreet buy a full harvest of cereals without ever seeing it let alone touching it, and they sell it again with huge profits.

This is just an example. EVERYTHING is being traded on Wallstreet. Oil, electronics, knowlegde, video content.

So I support this anti-Wallstreet movement which is now spreading to the rest of the world. As soon as I read about demonstrations in Paris I will join.

What we need is going back to the macro-economies. Buy your meat from the farm at the other side of town. Buy your new TV from the local TV store and have it repaired there as well when it breaks down. In that way labor will get paid better again which will result in a better and honest product and health care will be affordable again.

Watch a few Michael Moore documentaries.

agreed. we've kept too many of our dumbest alive, they've found each other on the internet and no longer have to listen to their parents, teachers, elders that they're misguided. now they can band together on the internet and scream that they're right.
Then band together on a street corner, shit on a patrol car, and scream that they're right.

Because they would get a good wage, and have a good life in a happy society at peace with itself. With low crime no homeless no poor etc...

Because being brain surgeon is an interesting and challenging job.

Why do you think US soldiers died fighting fascism in WW2 ? The big wages ?

There are other things in life besides money.

Money is important and it should be fairly distributed. If Bill Gates had to make a program that worked as it was supposed too he would be poor. It was the US society that decided that he could make a product that half worked and charge 10 times more than it was worth.

Yuri Gagarin went to space and he told my mum it was because he loved to fly.

In other words, your broad-stroke talking point is incorrect, so you better sling out another insult to compensate for your shortcomings.

I think it's fun to see you posting here all the time. As you are clearly a member of America's elite 1% ruling class, you sure don't seem to have anything worthwhile to do... unless of course you aren't as rich as you pretend to be, in which case you are on par with the idiotic Teatards, who foolishly vote against their very own interests.

Either way, you are a sad case, but carry on... your betters enjoy what the delusional rabble has to spew.

Here's your protesters....

Quote:
The Daily Mail obtained this photo of an unidentified male who appears to be defecating on a New York City patrol car during the ongoing “Occupy Wall Street” protests.

The Daily Mail reported:

According to eye witnesses, when people ran to tell nearby police about the man defecating on the squad car they were ignored.

Standing downwind of the piles of rubbish, bankers walking past the man did a double take before hurrying away.
That's fucking classy.

No, actually you're the clueless one. And you didn't answer any of the questions I asked, because you don't have a good answer to any of them. Whenever you don't know what to respond, you just change the subject or insult people.. I follow american politics mostly on american and international websites. I'd say I'm way above average interested in US politics, considering I'm not a US citizen. But since I make 100% of my money in the US, how your country is run affects me more than I'd like it to.

This is irrelevant and a moot point because it's just like saying...

Here's your U.S. soldiers:

http://www.voanews.com/english/news/...118577784.html

OR

Here's your cops:

So the CEO of Citigroup who are the criminals that destroyed our economy, is pointing the blame at Wall Street... Which in itself doesn't make a dime?

So Citigroup isn't guilty, but the system is. Citigroup just uses the system to abuse us and steal money from the 99%. So don't blame it on Citigroup.

That's brilliant.

You make it sound like it's a epidemic problem.... reality check, less than 2% make over 100k and they all teach/live in higher cost of living areas, but hey... they should make less, commute to you, so you have to pay less in taxes, right?

Yes, you got me... some guy shitting on a cop car did it, now I'm embarrassed by the entire cause.

I thought the "Don't Steal From Medicare To Support Socialized Medicine" protest signs from the Tea Party caused enough embarrassment, on me of course... now this guy shows up, I'm done with all causes, those few people end it all - they represent everyone and did this? ARrrrgggg!

Also, the movement is just mad that they didn't get their handout, nothing more.

So much hate, anger, and frustration. It doesn't matter what side you're on - noone is working together to fix anything. Just fighting, yelling, and arguing.

Its not even an argument or discussion anymore - just the automatic gainsay of anything the other person says.

So basically he's saying that citibank is responsible, his company needs to be fined billions, and he should pay back all of his salary because he just stole from us all?

I would bet his meaning of the word 'accountable' is different than mine or yours.....

Citigroup got something like $250+ billion between tarp and bailouts and some $300+ billion in government guarantees to cover toxic debt loans.

And earlier this year Vikram Pandit got like a 15 or so million dollar bonus and more stocks.

He's prob strapped man, that's why he didn't offer to pay any of it back.

... he knows he is part of the problem, the gov looked into them, aig is getting creamed right now. I'm still shocked he said anything, it at least shows they know they screwed us!

I like some of the signs...

Overall, OWC protesters are hotter than the Tea Party chicks (non-partisan observation).

If I was in NYC, I'd be making some OWS porn right now...

What's up with all the antisemitism from these protestors?

Have you guys seen the videos on YouTube of them screaming "Go back to Israel" and harassing people who work on Wall Street calling them Jews and saying it's "the Jews" fault?

I heard some of it today on the news and it was pretty extreme. I'm thinking that Nancy Pelosi might want to back off from snuggling up with this "movement" until it shakes out just a bit more.

I got a bad feeling that there are very few of the actual original "movement" people there who honestly had something to say...and now it's 99% crazy New York rednecks raising hell because the television cameras are there.

It is a great speech.

At the time Chaplin wrote it Hollywood was entertaining German Nazis. He could not get funding for his film "The Great Dictator" ,which contains the speech, and made the film with his own money.

Britain said they would never show the film as it was anti German propaganda. It was shown as when the film was finished the Germans were bombing London.

After the war Chaplin was refused an American visa because of his communist views.

Thank you for sharing that.

Child poverty is hitting America hard as the middle class disappears. What should all these people do Mr 12 Clicks?

These people better hope that this does not become a worldwide movement. Every person in OWS is in the top 10% of the wealthiest in the world population overall. If the other 90% of the planet decides to come take their iphones, they are gonna be upset! LOL
