When the republicans stop pretending they are the will of the people at sub 10% approval ratings and stop blocking all legislation that doesn't fill their wallets, I'll stop saying they're crazy. What are they up to now, 40 attempts to repeal the affordable care act? They're idiots. Vote out all incumbents and don't look back. Both parties, all parties. Vote against all of the people who are currently in office.

But as of today, if you think Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. would be a republican in 2013 then you are absolutely out of touch with what has happened to your party.

Our healthcare is a mess and your President Bush failed to do anything about it. So we took the old Republican bill, dusted it off, improved it, and... The Republican party bitched like little children.

Funny thing, I just got a refund check from our healthcare. Seems part of Obamacare is is a new law called 80/20, where 80% of what we pay MUST go directly to healthcare and not over head. Win win.

A friend of mine has been soaked for the past decade with healthcare costs - His kid was born with a medical condition that will affect him for the rest of his life, and his wife has another condition that requires monthly medical care. Both problems were fixed under Obamacare.

Obamacare so far seems to be a lot better than it was without it.

I take a look around me and things seem to be a lot better in the past two years. All of the construction that stopped has resumed, and even new condos are being built. No one I know about is complaining about being unemployed.

But of course you'll just rant saying we need to adjust how we factor in unemployment.

The best one you have Brett is the price of gas... You say "Price of gas was cheaper under Bush". You completely ignore the fact that gas was at it's all time high when Bush was in office. But that's okay, ignore that or blame it on the Democrats.

I am not a Democrat. I was a Republican. But man, you crack me up with your lies.

BTW... When Bush left office he had a 19% approval rating - meaning four out of five people thought he was doing poorly.

The Unions are against Obamacare because they believe it will reduce the working hours of their members.

Bernake is printing 85 billion dollars a month to keep the stock market happy.

NSA is doing what the Vice President said it shouldn't be allowed to do.

IRS is targeting political opponents of the present administration. The IRS admitted to this.

Food stamp use is up 400% under Obama
And the FDA is working with Mexico to make sure those that cross the border know how to use the food stamp program.

You guys that are happy because he is not going after porn, Porn will do better in a better economy you idiots! Los Angeles is a liberal city, more than most, yet we now have a condom law!

I don't like any politicians right now, they are all about getting re-elected. Not about the country, Bush took us to a war we shouldn't have gone to. But they all agreed to send us there. Obama has had the power for 5 years, so he can't blame Bush for anything, it's all on him, he inherited the mess from himself when he got re-elected.

I'm not a republican nor a democrat, I'm an American first!
After reading this post, I feel like I just watched an episode of Fox news.

A person should only be blamed for their actions that caused the problems or made existing problems worse. Bush created the debt (Bush tax cuts) and then tried to reduce the damage by not including the cost of the Iraq war in the total debt under his administration.

Who knows what Hillary will do. You should wait and see and give her a chance. Hopefully when the republicans pick their nominee he won't be a complete lying idiotic flip-flopping buffoon like Mitt Romney was.

Republicans : Here's how to win the next election.

1. Make Chris Christie your nominee.
2. Tell the Tea Party and other far-right crazies to shut up and stop ruining your brand.
3. Accept Obamacare already.
4. Make Boener and pals do some real work and pass some bills.
5. Lay off women and abortion for fuck sakes.
6. Stop repressing votes. What the hell.

If you guys run a fair fight with good ideas to bring your country (and the world, lets face it) forward, you will have a real chance of winning and hell I might vote 'publican too if I could. The current batch of idiots you have representing your beliefs now have got to go.

The states have shifted huge amounts of dollars for the poor from state welfare to SSI. This is not really a Democrat/Republican thing but it has put Social Security in jeopardy. Does anyone want to deal with it?

Who cares if Bush or Obama was worse? Maybe the parties should instead talk about moving forward on some pretty serious stuff. The debt is huge and interest rates are going up. Maybe we look at some of that stuff instead?
Fact is it's bad now,( Bush or Obama, this is bad) the person in charge is not doing a thing to make it better, instead the FDA is working with the Mexican government to better inform the new illegal aliens we are getting to use food stamps. Social Security is in danger because of the National debt growing, that's where a lot of the money is coming from/

I was happy to go after Osama in Afghanistan, I didn't want occupation. I never liked the idea of going to Iraq. I really hate sending drones into countries that we are not at war with currently. Bush made me an independent as well.

Approval ratings according to the Gallup poll put the GOP at 26% and the Dems at 34 %, I thnink this is going to change with the new drive from the Unions to change Obamacare. I don't really care.

Where did I say I liked Bush or even gave a shit about Bush, He's not in Charge Richard, Barry is, for the last five years. 400% increase in food stamps, 660% increase in drone usage.

If you look at what Hillary in as SOS, we would be fucked if she became our president

I think it's just the left media that paints the Tea-Party as crazies

The unions aren't accepting Obamacare

I'm with you on social issues, they need to stay away from them, they lose everytime

It's not Boehner alone, he and Obama agreed on one thing and still couldn't get it passed. The whole system of the two party system is so polarized right now, it's tough to get anything done. I blame it on a bad leader. Reagan worked with Tip O'neil for Social Security and Clinton worked with Newt to help on the welfare system. They we leaders.

I really hope that the GOP comes up with a viable candidate for 2016, last couple of times, they really sucked

No, you don't put out facts. You cherry pick stats to get your point across.

Again, back to your comments about gas and how cheap it was under Bush - when the truth is gas was at it's highest point during the Bush administration!

You also ranted about the murder rate in Chicago, saying that gun laws don't work - when the truth is the murder continues to drop in Chicago.

Yes, food stamps usage is at a all time high. Take a look at what just happened to the economy. If it wasn't at an all time high it would be rather strange. But did Obama cause that? I'm guessing not being as this happened BEFORE Obama took office.

I don't watch MsNBC. Ever. I don't even know what their slant is.

It is about placing blame. This is was all caused before Obama took office. This is not a four year or a eight year problem. It's a ten to twenty year problem. I don't believe Obama is our savior; I honestly believe my pet dog could have done as well as Obama. But you rant about Obama and unemployment, you rant about Obama and the price of gas, and you rant about Obama and food stamps... But yet you refuse to accept any of the blame for the problem at all.

Obama can and hasn't. He just makes it worse.

I haven't done a rant here, just posted some facts, debate those from under your rock, you still believe the IRS agents acted without supervision!

As far as gas prices, supply is up and demand is down, why are prices up? We are getting less imported oil now.

We are producing more oil inside the US now, due to the production of tight oil has tripled in the past three years to about 900 thousand barrels per day as of November 2011, largely in North Dakota, Texas and Montana, but much of the production is on state and private lands and not land controlled by the federal government.

Obama has no control of those permits, he has issued less new permits than previous presidents

Both camps are hypocrites, crooks and liars so the question is what are you hoping to gain by voting for any of the two?

The U.S. needs something fresh and new without the corporate greed that have put a dirty stain on everything.

The point is the IRS targets any groups that have the potential for tax fraud. I recently discovered that my wife's charity falls into this group. I would expect the IRS to give extra scrunity to any group that has the potential for fraud. You think the Tea Party groups were the only group targeted?

From your link:

Democrats have said progressive groups also were given special scrutiny, which they said shows the IRS wasn?t engaged in political targeting but rather was trying to sort through groups in the wake of the Supreme Court ruling.

I bet you the list of "types of groups" they give extra looks at is in the thousands.

It's been said it came from the top, it came from Washington, the head of the IRS met with the president a record amount of times and the one of the heads was replaced and claimed the 5th, you think the president didn't know about this? REALLY?

Unemployment is down to 7.4% not counting all the people that had to take part time jobs or just gave up and started collecting food stamps. That's a reason for the stamp program costing so much more. That so far is the best number since Barry took office, that's a terrible number. The new jobs that are there are not enough to cover the growth of the work force

slowest job-market recovery since World War II.

Can't you read? He cut public land permits to drill for oil, it's up because of the tight oil in North Dakota, production is up despite the president.

Yet he sure liked to take credit for production being up didn't he? I hate when he continually lies.

Simple logic and math would say to call them all crazies is not possible, there was too many of them.

I've spent a lot of my life living in the country, mother is all about common sense. I think a lot of the people that backed the Tea party movement just want to not see things like 85 billion a month printed up by the reserve just to artificially prop up the stock market.
People in this country are just tired of the way things are being done. Something that pops up that sends a message, just because of the size of the movement, people are going to support that.

Sort a like any president that wasn't George W, people are going to vote for!

Kind of like the OP and other liberals who are spreading Obama propaganda and yet supposedly claiming to be internet business owners / webmasters at the same time? I think it definitely goes both ways. Business owners and Website owners have both been negatively affected so far by the Obama administration. In the real world, that is. Not saying that he is a communist or some sort of evil guy. I just wouldn't vote for him. I personally think he is a shitty President with unfair policies regarding the Internet and Web Commerce / Business in particular. Which definitely affects my daily life! Not going to stoop as low as to pick a "political party", but it seems that most of these guys standing on their soapboxes have no idea what they are preaching about. Or they are business owning wannabes with no actual income yet, or actual web businesses yet.

The main idea of the tea party is that the budget needs to be balanced with spending cuts only.
US Budget
25% - interest, can't cut
25% - Military, they won't cut
25% - Social Security, they vowed ot protect
25% - Everything else, good luck getting 15% of the total out of this.

So maybe not crazy, just math challenged? Retarded? Take your pick.

It is up to the voter to dig deeper and do some research. Your vote is so important that politicians will spend millions of dollars to get. Instead of just watching the ads and clapping at the usual emotional talking points that each politician has, people should take advantage of Google and other tools to find out what he or she has really done in the past before casting your vote.

Nice idea but it won't happen. Corporate America funds the parties and politicians they expect to give them sweet deals to in return. It's impossible to change the system. The only way you can fight back is with your vote.

The food stamp program doesn't "cost" anything. It's actually a good "investment". Every dollar spent on the food stamp program generates $1.84 into the economy in terms of economic activity. A 2002 George W. Bush-era USDA study which found that "Ultimately, the additional $5 billion of FSP (Food Stamp Program) expenditures triggered an increase in total economic activity (production, sales, and value of shipments) of $9.2 billion and an increase in jobs of 82,100," or $1.84 stimulus for every dollar spent. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supplem...stance_Program

KKK and Southern slave owning states/Confederate States were Democrat. Not the other way around.

BTW... most rich southern democrats in addition to being insanely racist, have money because of plantations/slavery and the slave trade. But its ok., they are on the "right team" .... so no reparations for them.

It is race prejudice, I guess. But I am strongly of the opinion Negroes ought to be in Africa, Yellow men in Asia and White men in Europe and America."

-Harry Truman (1911) in a letter to his future wife Bess

'Hymies.' 'Hymietown.' -- Jesse Jackson's description of New York City while on the 1984 presidential campaign trail.

"will not let the white boys win in this election." -- Donna Brazile, Al Gore's Campaign Manager on the 2000 election

"White folks was in caves while we was building empires... We taught philosophy and astrology and mathematics before Socrates and them Greek homos ever got around to it." -- Rev. Al Sharpton in a 1994 speech at Kean College, NJ

So once again it's all Bush's fault.

The Republican party needs to get their shit together. Between Bush, McCain and Palin, and then Romney.... They had better come up with the perfect candidate next time around.

What gets me based on what I read here is how many conservatives look to also be racists. Not all are and some are reasonable folks but some of the racist hate I see here from American conservatives is way over the top. Sometimes I got the feeling that the poster had another tab open at Stormfront and posted it here by mistake.

Yes, there is probably not a single active poster on this forum that is going to disagree with the fact that the world is a very confusing and disappointing place for you.

I don't think that any person in here is for ANY of the social "values" of the Republican party.

But for any of you to say that the Obama administration's record on killing people with drones, having the NSA spying on us, the whole gun running debacle in Mexico, and the IRS scandal is all "okay" because "Bush did it too" is ridiculous.
