So, whatever happened to him happened by one of only two things. Self infliction or by cops during one of the stops. I would think a decent coroner would be able to determine the actual cause pretty easily.

Even if the banging around story is true (sounds fishy,) the banging around could actually be the guy having a seizure, trying to get attention or medical help, trying to get help in general, so on and so forth. It's difficult to hurt yourself in a permanent way, especially in a little box.

Come on Tom, I was responding directly to BM specifically talking about making America safer.

I've given up giving advise regarding self preservation when someone gets arrested.

If someone wants more charges added to whatever they get stopped for or want to place their lives in the hands of cops during a take down that's their foolish decision.

But it would be interesting to see just one person on TV address the obvious wouldn't it?

You would think that in 2015 having a video camera in the back would be standard practice if for no other reason than for transporting multiple suspects.

Even if true, what would it change? Nothing. Finding out he indeed inflicted those injuries to himself would be the best possible outcome for the city. Otherwise you have this all to look forward to again depending on the outcome of any civil and/or criminal trials of the officers involved.

I saw the video and I'm not so sure he was "able bodied" when put into the van.
He wasn't dead or paralyzed but he didn't look so great to me.
Being able to use his legs for a few seconds with help from cops is not a solid test of someone's health.

Of course he won't change his view. The narrative was determined the moment there was a body and facts had nothing to do with it, as per usual. It's good to be someone like the rioters, looters and brassmoneky/blackmonsters. If there is incontrovertible proof that Grau did it to himself, they will just say "it's bullshit" and further proof of corruption. If there is proof the police did it, they get to say "I told you so". Seems to be the most plausible scenario, which would also suggest that either the supposed witness was lying, or as the document was written by a BPD officer, whether that account of events was wholly or in part fabricated.
