2. India - 1,200,000
3. North Korea - 900,000
4. South Korea - 560,000
5. Pakistan - 520,000
6. United States - 475,000
7. Iraq - 360,000 - Pre-2003, of course.
8. Myanmar - 325,000
9. Russia - 320,000
10. Iran - 320,000

If you have enough canon fodder you can go a long way Russia proved that in WWII and North Vietnam as well.

The United States military has 1.5 million members in active-duty. Then you have reservists and all of the other options. Granted we are spread pretty thin at the moment, but between what we have left, South Korea, Japan... add in the elite training and equipment from all three countries... yeh, my money is on North Korea getting torched unless China and Russia want to step in. China might depending on the circumstances, Russia probably wouldn't.

Those stats are way off. The US Marines alone has some 200k under arms, plus another 50k in the reserves. Wikipedia puts the figures at 1.4 mil under arms, plus another 1.4 mil in the reserves - which puts the US at the second largest military force in the world.

Russia did play a major part in the war - and in fact they were what started turning the tide against Germany (they're also the ones who stormed Berlin!). BUT, Russia had a huge advantage over N. Korea (and Germany) : fuck-off cold-ass winters that froze many Germans to death.

Besides, warfare is much different now than it was back then. I'm not saying it was trench warfare (a la WWI), but now we've got precision missiles, planes you can't hear/see/detect, PLUS most countries in the world would side AGAINST N. Korea.
